about shine speech & drama lessons
Shine Speech & Drama classes inspire confidence and imagination in kids, helping them to communicate effectively and build self-belief that helps them succeed in life. While having fun of course!
These exciting classes are tailor-made for building confidence, individual growth and learning. Kids learn to speak more confidently, communicate more effectively, improve their listening skills and use their imaginations. These skills and the confidence they give build their self-belief.
SPEECH & DRAMA (3 - 18 yrs)
Your child will receive specialised tuition in a small group. Group lessons are are typically 45 minutes of intensive, focused activities and are weekly for eight lessons of the school term.
Course includes
Public Speaking (impromptu, prepared, informative, persuasive, special occasion)
Acting Skills (reading out loud, script, devising, improvisation, performing text)
Effective Communication & Manners (telephone, interpersonal, table)
Body Language (eye contact, posture)
Vocal Skills (voice, speech, articulation, grammar)
Poetry Reading & Storytelling

Venues
Lessons are available lunchtimes and after school at Cornwall Park District School, Ficino, King's Prep School, Kohimarama, Meadowbank, Parnell District School, St Ignatius, St Thomas, Victoria Avenue School, Waterlea, M&R Learning Centre, TAPAC (The Auckland Performing Arts Centre).

EXAMINATIONS
We offer our students professional qualifications through Trinity College of London and New Zealand Speech Board. Shine tutored students typically do extremely well in both sets of examinations. Examinations are not compulsory.
